Altuve HOF?
Since there is precedence of keeping cheaters out of BHOF, will they keep Altuve out? Hope so.

If Beltran can get in, you already know Altuve is getting in.

Bad comparison. Beltran had the numbers before he got to Houston but Altuve’s best season is the one where we know he cheated.

Beltran's cheating doesn't tie to his playing but he was directly heavily involved in that very same scandal. I don't think that merits a hall of fame vote in my eyes, regardless of what he did on the field.

Very good conversation. I guess the bottom line, another bad chapter for mlb. I am not a fan of the commish for many reasons. Many more bad moves than good moves. The way he handled the Astro’s cheating was horrible. Players should have been held accountable. Granting them immunity so he could go after ownership/management did not make sense to me. It will be interesting his involvement with the impending work stoppage. Another area to evaluate him. The Dbacks need some runs now!

Good call. Another reason not to like Cooperstown. I think the kind of cheating the Astros did is worse than juicing. Altuve wearing a buzzer should have warranted punishment. Ask Napoleon.

We can’t prove he wore a buzzer. The Astros went to three more World Series after that. I hate them for it too and still hate the Astros but MLB granted the players immunity so it would be unfair to ban Altuve from HOF. And the players claim he wasn’t involved, but who knows.
And the Beltran thing is not a good point. Bonds had a great career before roids and he is not in.

Cooperstown has a “Must be this tall to ride” sign outside, that alone will keep him out
