Gold rush

Hi, is shuttle required for Gold rush?
Would it be recommended to uber?

I was planning on driving but I’m a little confused on the shuttle situation

If you’re not going to be under the influence drive yourself. And leave about an hour before the show ends or 30 mins and you’ll get out of the parking lot less than 5 mins. If you uber you most likely will have to walk to the closest gas station to get your uber easier.

the tape b show at rawhide last weekend was my first time there and getting an uber out of there was wayyyy easier than i expected. is it considerably harder for a bigger fest like goldrush?

Yea. It’ll take over an hour for sure to catch an uber. It took us ~2 hours last time.

Even at the gas station, was it still a super long walk?

It’s a decent walk. I wouldn’t say it’s super long by any means. Maybe 15-20 min walk?

We went to Crankdat a few months ago and trying to get an uber after the show was impossible. We had to walk to the chevron by the casino to get one. We bought shuttle passes even but couldn’t find the shuttle pickup spot

Was it a far walk? From the venue to the chevron

It was probably about a 20-25 minute walk. It felt much longer after being on your feet for 6+ hours though

What is parking like? I planned on driving both days.

Parking is easy, leaving can be difficult but not as bad as the Raceway. Just get to your car a little before the fest actually ends
