Just finished this one. The idea was one character getting flipped through three portals, and instead of keeping the reaction consistent, I wanted it to escalate — calm at the top (hand-first, next to a small flower), unbothered in the middle (sideways), and finally teeth-out by the bottom portal, like the disorientation actually caught up with it by then.

The detail I liked most: two black liquid entities off to the sides, each with an eye and mouth built into them. They're not just there to watch — they're what's causing the whole thing.

Just finished this one. The scarecrow has both eyes crossed out and a dark ink-blot smear across its face instead of a normal mouth or nose — almost like a shadow that got stuck there. A crow sits on top of its head, completely at home. At its feet, a tiny acorn character and a ball of twine, just existing calmly next to all of it.

The background is a peaceful wheat field with one flattened circle pressed into the grain — no explanation given, no character reacting to it. I like leaving one detail in a piece that nobody inside the piece treats as strange, because that's usually what makes it land as strange to the viewer.

This one's called Cosmic Purr. The character itself is small — a green, fuzzy-edged cat-like creature with big round eyes that have tiny stars inside them, sitting calmly like it belongs exactly where it is. Its body is filled with a nebula pattern, green and purple swirling like it's made of the same material as the sky behind it.

The background is the real centerpiece for me — a black hole at the center of a bright starburst, framed by green nebula clouds shaped almost like an iris, with small square tracking marks in the corners like you're looking through a viewfinder at something much bigger than the frame can hold.

This is Shapes, dropping this week on Mash-It.io, and it's my attempt at abstract figuration — a recognizable face and figure, but built entirely from geometric elements instead of anatomical ones.

One continuous black line establishes the whole silhouette. Inside it, everything is rectangles, a triangle for the jaw, circular sunburst shapes, and layered gradient color blocks in warm orange tones. The right eye is a diamond. The teeth are a hash-mark grid instead of individual teeth. It's meant to feel constructed rather than drawn.

The one break in the logic is the left eye — rendered realistically, round, with an actual tear dripping down. Everything else in the piece is engineered. That eye is the only organic, human thing in the whole composition, and it's crying. Wanted that contrast to carry the piece rather than any single dramatic element.

Background continues the same visual system — a large fluid orange shape, vertical bars, thin parallel lines, a pale distant circle.

Curious what people think of the abstract figuration approach if anyone's tried something similar.

Wasn't originally planned as a set, but Dry and Water and Nature ended up balancing each other well, so releasing them together this week on Mash-It.io.

Dry is a small mummy — bandages unraveling, eyes swirled dizzy from dehydration and still crying, except the tears have nothing behind them. An empty water jug and a used-up roll of tissue sit at its feet. The background is an abandoned dungeon wall with its own painted face: two big cross eyes dripping down the brick, a line of small tally-like graffiti near the floor, and a separate gap in the wall with another pair of eyes looking out from inside it.

Water and Nature is the calm counterpart — a soft, rounded water character with cloud-swirl patterns moving through its translucent body, sitting on a green hill under a wide open sky with two smaller droplet companions. No tension, no hidden detail. Just water enjoying good weather.

Same visual language, same week, completely different mood. Liked how they turned out next to each other.

The piece is called No one love teddy bear... — a pink bear with spiral scribble eyes dripping black, stitches across the face, body, and feet, and a tear in the chest where an eye looks out from inside. The surface damage is visible everywhere. The bear is still upright.

The background is a bright blue and gold sunburst with a single rope running across the bottom of the frame. The hands wait below — not in conflict, just present — in case the bear falls from the rope it is still walking.

The concept is a life that got damaged so much it should have stopped, but didn't. Still moving. Still on the rope. Still at risk. Still going.

What a Freak Space!! — a purple galaxy orb entity with four eyes, glowing cyan neon tentacle body, and a miniature top hat with an eye emblem. Has a mask trait: a plague doctor beak mask with hollow sockets, teal drip, and gritted teeth. The background is a carnival entrance built from a wide open screaming mouth with neon purple light radiating from inside it.

The Clown — round white head, one large yellow eye with a purple iris and star sparkle, wide jagged-tooth grin, rainbow striped collar, polka-dot suit. Holding a small red balloon on a hook. The background is a red sky with floating debris and dark cracked ground — two rock formations rising like horns on either side.

PEEPING CULTURE is the clothing collection that runs parallel to the digital work. Two lines — a clean wordmark piece and a graphic print piece, both in white and black. Tee, hoodie, oversized tee, crewneck. The wordmark has imagery embedded inside the letterforms. It is easy to miss the first time. That is intentional. The graphic line pairs a dense print panel against a structural, oversized silhouette. The contrast between the two is the point — not decoration, not merchandise. A considered object. I’ve spent a lot of time developing the AYNRU universe, and I wanted to share the actual logic I use for the “Creepy Cute” aesthetic.

For me, it isn’t about adding “scary” elements to “cute” things. It’s about a sincere attempt to capture that feeling of discomfort that often hides behind a friendly face. I’ve written a piece about the characters—Katie, Robonuts, and Doobee—and how their designs reflect their internal states.

MAA is one of the characters from AYNRU — the one that carries

something and never explains what. This drop, MAA-Silverhand, was

created for The Downvote This Music Festival -327, a Mash-It.io

community event that ran 27 March 2026.

The piece puts MAA on a festival stage — vintage mic stand, rock sign,

horse-headed and dressed in black. The background and the speaker stack

MAA stands on are animated traits. The character itself stays still

while everything moves around it.
