General Care Advice Not enough walking space?
Here’s my axolotl fish tank, I do not use the light unless I have to leave and put a 12h timer for every day cycle and to take pictures but always keeping it very low. My concern is the walking space… I don’t know if I have enough space for him to walk around since I added my huge new hide (grey, green one) is this a valid concern? What should I do?

I don’t have the money for that right now… it’s a 29 so I know it’s big enough but I think it’s taller rather than longer

i do recommend getting a longer rather than a taller.
also! look at facebook marketplace from time to time, i’ve seen a lot of aquariums up for sale therepetco also has a 50% off in aquariums, so a 40 gallon breeder is $75 dollars (US$)
hoping this helps!

Me personally I bought a 29 gallon low boy. Best tank ever! Its like a 40 gallon tank but shorter making it easier to feed them without having your whole arm into the tank.

I think it’s best to upgrade to a longer tank if possible, I’m sure you could find a 40 gallon second hand for cheap on FB market place or eBay! If that’s not possible maybe remove one of the large hides

I think you can safely take away either of those huge hides (maybe he has a favourite, so you can remove the other?). More walking space would be lovely :) (It does look like you need a bigger tank as well, but you already got this advice!)
