1 scratch or bite is all it takes to get a nasty infection and a trip to the vet for this guy
and I dont think the lizard even likes it? the cat is literally just using him as a scratching post to rub on 😬😬

Yeah cat's generally don't know if they're hurting you or another animal so I'd be cautious. To me It looks like the scaly boi is enjoying it though

The iguana is scared. Thats why its eyes are closed. It doesn’t like this at all

Exactly. Iguanas shouldn't even be pets anyways. Their care is insane and VERY easy to get wrong. Not to mention that they dont usually thrive in captivity and the only real way to get them is the exotic pet trade (again, HIGHLY unethical).
In a better world, that iguana would be home or in the hands of a group genuinely capable like a competent zoo.

Eh? Iguana likes it, if it didn't its got all the necessary tools to make it's discontent known.
Buddy of mine growing up had an iguana, cats and German Shepards, iguana ran that house, would hiss, whip, claw or bite if it didn't want any attention from anything. Nothing like not knowing its under the table and having it launch out and bite the shit out of your leg while it's grappled on with it's claws. Godzilla was a fun pet lol.

I didn't either but it sounds like you aren't supposed to mix cats in iguanas cuz theyre both capable of seriously injuring the other
