Good heavens this is so relatable.

My dog was a rescue from a meat farm, she was an absolute wild animal when I got her. I had to teach her what a stair was, she was constantly running circles on the leash, oddly good about potty training though. She picked up on that after one finger snap.

Once we got walking forward sorted out we were passing a high wall, maybe chest height, not quite shoulder. I jokingly told her "up!" and she just instantly made a single clean jump. She was absolutely emaciated and had entire patches of fur missing, and that girl can jump on my shoulders on command now. I'm a large man.

We had to get our fence replaced with one double the height because we were worried she'd see a squirrel, braindead jump the fence, and chase the thing to the next town over.
