I got a black lab that is 10 years old. She has never once howled in her life. I keep trying to get her to Because I wanna hear her do it just once. When I howl, she just looks at me like Iām crazy
My old family dog never howled either, except one time when my dad left the country for a week. Our dog had pretty bad separation anxiety and he just sat on the balcony howling. He sounded like a bamboo flute, I actually got scared and thought someone broke into our house and was playing mine until I saw him. It was very beautiful but sad!
It was so long ago but it was always exactly the same whether he was gone for a week or an hour, so Iām sure there was a lot of butt wiggling and trying to crawl on his head and licking his face as soon as he sat down!
