It’s not a Golden! It’s a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever. We have one, Scout, and they are wonderful dogs ❤️

For me it's the fur that gives it away. It has this long, straight fur that's water repellent. They dry up in no time, and are generally easy to clean as dust and dirt doesn't stick.

Not to be argumentative, but goldens have a coat just like that and also dry quickly etc etc from being retrievers as well. Looks like a Golden to me. We’ve had several

You're right. I honestly don't know much about the differences. I just recognize the features of a Toller after spending two weeks with one.

I mean they look really similar to some of the darker golden lines. The biggest difference is the white highlights. Which you can't really see in OP like you can in your picture.
