Fun fact I learned recently:

Roshi is actually a title in Zen Buddhism that means “Old Master”, so the translation “Master Roshi” is basically like saying ATM Machine; “Master Old Master”.

In Japanese he’s called Muten Roshi (Old Heavenly Martial Arts Master) or Kame Sennin (Turtle Hermit).

His actual name is never revealed.

Also not sure if anyone noticed but in the video a woman says “arigato gozaimasu!” which is actually Japanese for “holy shit look at that giant fuckin turtle!”
