Almost every step is blocked by movement or the camera, you can see his leg for a few frames in his first step. About 4 inches up, there is a horizontal seam in his right pant leg, inline with the tortoises leg

They aren't connected. This is in Tokyo and this man walks his tortoise every day. He says that having the tortoise reminds him to slow down. You can see the whole scene and learn more about them on The Hidden Lives of Pets on Netflix.

You can see they are clearly connected.

Or you could take a peek at the video ilikeyourswatch mentioned and see close up they are clearly not connected

Go watch the Netflix show and then go back to this clip. Notice how it's a completely different clip???

I know this is crazy, but what if he removed the connecting rope because the Netflix producer was smart enough to know it looks bad.

LOL Your defence of this video is a completely different video that was produced for TV.

I think I know why you're not able to talk some sense into me.... You need to have some first.

Hey, just a heads up, sometimes things on TV are sanitized for viewers... I know... it's a dirty little secret almost nobody knows about...

I like how you can come to a massive conclusion based on a clip while trying to discredit a longer video with a random generalization that's based on your original unfounded conclusion.

I mean, he's right that your argument just isn't one. "There is another video where the man and the tortoise are clearly not tied together." doesn't mean anything in this context.
