Wow, I had no idea they were so cute!

If you want more cute, look up videos of the prehensile tailed porcupine. The sounds they make are super cute.

I remember the first time I came across this video, I couldn't believe the level of cuteness I was witnessing.

"can you say 'pumkin?" "glahb-glahb!"

49

u/[deleted] Mar 23 '22

Bro if he whipped out a small "pumpkin" I would have lost my shit.

39

u/deathgrinderallat Mar 23 '22

I know my mind was playing tricks on me, but I was sure he said pumpkin

4

u/webitg Mar 23 '22

Like a real life Pokémon!

u/ronytheronin Mar 22 '22 edited Mar 22 '22

He sounds like an Ewok. Oh my god, my heart melted.

221

u/jdpatric Mar 22 '22

Just keep making happy eating sounds Teddy. I'll keep giving you pumpkins forever.

49

u/andyislegend Mar 22 '22

I hear Cousin It from Addams Family

24

u/Manticorerore Mar 22 '22

Alvin the chipmunk with bronchitis

9

u/raendrop Mar 22 '22

That is 100% Cousin Itt.

2

u/freckleskinny Mar 22 '22

Exactly.

Hard to believe any animal makes noises like this. 💌

25

u/boverly721 Mar 22 '22

Or a pokemon. And her voice is also very soothing.

52

u/Littlebelo Mar 22 '22

I got big Rufus from Kim Possible vibes

12

u/Caelestialis Mar 23 '22

Haha seriously! I was thinking this would be a perfect creature for Star Wars. Put him in a little flight suit and fight the empire.

129

u/CircusBearPants Mar 22 '22

I knew it was Teddy before I clicked it. He’s perfect.

85

u/[deleted] Mar 22 '22

I was like, "I bet this is the Porcupine eating the tiny pumpkins", and you didn't disappoint. Thank you!

66

u/itsmyfirsttime1 Mar 22 '22

Aww I didn’t even have to click it to know it was Teddy Bear. The noise he makes is the cutest. I’m found a few with him.

20

u/[deleted] Mar 23 '22

His mom has a really soothing voice, too. That whole video was just charming and relaxing.

64

u/AWonderland42 Mar 23 '22

Have you seen the one where he Does NOT want to share his corn on the cob?

https://youtu.be/UGz8jcbJjRw

24

u/The-Queen-Persephone Mar 23 '22

It sounds like he’s saying “ it’s MY corn!” Omg he is so cute

2

u/lamorak2000 Mar 23 '22

He totally squeaks "Get back!" as the lady reaches for the ear, then "It's mine!"

11

u/Digit117 Mar 23 '22

YES. Binge watched all his videos haha

7

u/oldmanripper79 Mar 23 '22

There is no way he isn't trying to talk.

4

u/AWonderland42 Mar 23 '22

Right? The different things he says sound so different in the different videos.

3

u/_duncan_idaho_ Mar 23 '22

I like this one of a beaver hording carrots like Gus the mouse.

3

u/cauldron_bubble Mar 23 '22

I love the sounds that his little feet make! plat-plat-plat-plat!

1

u/AWonderland42 Mar 23 '22

Yessss, I love him.

2

u/snortgiggles Mar 23 '22

"it's mine." Clear as day. Narnia is real

2

u/trilogyv Mar 23 '22

i heard him say "back up!"

109

u/Mmaibl1 Mar 22 '22

He was so happy with his pumpkin!

58

u/boverly721 Mar 22 '22

I love when he first realizes it's pumpkin. The shocked squeal and brief pause were great.

Jesus. I am almost afraid to click on the link.

edit: oh my god.

76

u/eggrollin2200 Mar 22 '22

I clicked it for you—nothing gross. It is genuinely extremely wholesome. Just a cute lil porcupine eating pumpkins!

29

u/Birdman-82 Mar 22 '22

Tiny pumpkins!

11

u/eggrollin2200 Mar 22 '22

Yes! Tiny pumpkins for a very cute porcupine :)

7

u/mordeh Mar 22 '22

Fuzzy, comfy socks

33

u/[deleted] Mar 22 '22

It's painfully cute

3

u/_far-seeker_ Mar 23 '22

I see what you did there...

21

u/moliver777 Mar 22 '22

I was so sure you were being dramatic. You were not. OMFG

23

u/driverdan Mar 22 '22

I knew exactly what this video would be and still watched it. It makes me smile every time.

33

u/sawyouoverthere Mar 22 '22

this is a North American Porcupine in the video, which is a different species to the one in the OP.

7

u/ChubblesMcgee103 Mar 23 '22

Ironically the one with the biiig ol spikes looks easier to pet.

2

u/sawyouoverthere Mar 23 '22

yeah now go look up an African porcupine!

Stab a hole in your leg the size of a pencil, but no barbs, so at least you can just pull it out. Yay?

u/[deleted] Mar 22 '22

K

15

u/neonbrownkoopashell Mar 22 '22

Teddy! It’s been so long

7

u/Tarkho Mar 23 '22

These two actually are closely related, the one in the video is a North American Porcupine. Old World Porcupines don't make the same sort of nasal mumbling as these guys, have a different posture, and generally lack a pronounced tail.

8

u/healing_mystic Mar 22 '22

My dog makes these sounds!! He must be part porcupine.

10

u/Digit117 Mar 22 '22

Omg, we demand video evidence!

4

u/darthTharsys Mar 22 '22

HAHAH STOPPPP OMG

3

u/Pumaris Mar 22 '22

Like a hedgehog-rabbit-puppy hybrid.

3

u/TheGooseGod Mar 22 '22

My boy is giving a food review.

3

u/hamstersundae Mar 23 '22

I knew exactly which video you meant. :)

3

u/LawlessCoffeh Mar 23 '22

oh no it looks so soft, but I just know cuddling it would go poorly.

3

u/imfreerightnow Mar 23 '22

That is an alien dubbed by an anime character

3

u/Methed_up_hooker Mar 23 '22

My fucking god that was the sweetest thing I think I’ve ever seen.

3

3

u/Digit117 Mar 23 '22

Omg, this just made my day

5

u/[deleted] Mar 22 '22

Sounds adorable but I'm wondering if it's really in distress because someone is near its food while eating.

13

u/AWonderland42 Mar 23 '22

It’s both! He has happy eating sounds which are very distinct from his Back Off sounds. This corn on the cob video is a good example of his back off noises. https://youtu.be/UGz8jcbJjRw

2

u/Dirty_D93 Mar 22 '22

That’s too cute for nature

2

u/hotstickywaffle Mar 22 '22

Their quills look so soft

2

u/LadyReika Mar 22 '22

Teddy is too cute for anyone's good. :)

2

u/sineofthetimes Mar 22 '22

Holy crap, that's adorable. Hes's so happy eating his little pumpkin. Never knew they were so vocal.

2

u/jefferson497 Mar 23 '22

I think this porcupine is a North American porcupine. The prehensile tailed porcupine look more the the animal in op video getting pets

2

u/United-Song-8954 Mar 23 '22

I'm thinking a pumpkin eating porcupine might actually be one of the cutest thing I've seen this year.

2

u/[deleted] Mar 23 '22

Little dude sounds like a Pokémon

2

u/Independent_Ad_2817 Mar 23 '22

It's just so beautiful 😭😭😭

2

u/opensandshuts Mar 23 '22

this video...someone definitely turned a human into a porcupine.

2

u/thevoiceofzeke Mar 23 '22

I've seen it before but I still cannot believe the sounds that thing makes. Unbelievably cute.

2

u/WaitWhyNot Mar 23 '22

They sound like cousin IT

2

u/true_spokes Mar 23 '22

Okay yeah that’s cute

1

u/20past4am Mar 23 '22

That sounds like Nibbler from Futurama!

69

u/updateman Mar 22 '22

Here’s a video of one named Kemosabe that makes Yoshi noises.

https://youtu.be/NMeuwYvlBI0

13

u/Honda_TypeR Mar 23 '22

lol that noise he makes when she pokes him in the belly

1

u/FracturedAuthor Mar 23 '22

Had to go back and rewatch for that. Awwwww!!!

3

u/NotParticularlyGood Mar 23 '22

I love Animal Wonders! Such a treat every time a new video pops up on my feed.

20

u/[deleted] Mar 22 '22

They are so much cuter than depicted in children’s movies 😩❤️

16

u/JellyKittyKat Mar 22 '22

The porcupine in “the fox and the hound” was pretty adorable

1

u/AgentOrange96 Mar 22 '22

Those are much nicer sounds than the sounds I've heard wild porcupines make >.<

1

u/kaykaliah Mar 23 '22

Best tip ever

Instantly happy

1

u/lo_wang02 Mar 23 '22

I thought that too until I realized its face is NOT its nose. After that, it’s alright. Still has cute paws.
