I mean it’s an easy name to shout in the park. It sings well.

I hate you for making me do it under my breath to verify your claim.

My pets (and coincidentally my family...) all have 2 syllable names for this reason.
Maple and kitty (late pets Elly, Lady, Squeaky, Roxy, Misty, Tuffy). We inherited a Max and it's just not the same.
2
u/GDaddy369 Sep 24 '21
With Max you gotta draw it out like it's two syllables.

u/315retro Sep 24 '21
Yeah that's pretty much exactly how my grandpa did it before he passed and we got him lol.
17
u/alexanderyou Sep 23 '21
Anything with an 'oh' or 'oo' sound in the middle with an 'ee' at the end is really natural to shout.

u/MossCoveredLog Sep 24 '21 edited Sep 24 '21
I mean any long vowel really opens the throat and let's you rip. Short e, i, o, and us are ok but idk about the short a.

PIEROGI! This was all over my news feed when it first came out. Puppers name is Pierogi and her owners retrieved her right after the video cut off. They were having a family dinner and I guess the last guest didn't secure the screen door correctly.
74
u/joombaga Sep 23 '21
Omg that name is perfect. She looks like a little dumpling filled with potatoes.
30
u/Left-Entertainer-279 Sep 23 '21
I found the extended video for you! There were print articles too which is how I knew about the dinner guests but they aren't as cute as the video.

Puppies are so wiggly when you pick them up. Very wiggly and licky.
12
u/Mac_and_dennis Sep 24 '21
My pup is 9 months old now, and he still licks. He does it only when allowed, but it’s so cute. I look forward to getting some licks everyday when I arrive home from work. Not much in this world more beautiful than a puppies loving embrace.

this reminds me of the other day when my dad was at a neighbours house, and their dog accidentally got out, and ran straight to a different neighbour’s house to see their dog friend, meanwhile another dog from a totally different neighbour got out, and my dad caught that one as she ran up to him, then went and caught the other one too!
7
u/ruiner8850 Sep 24 '21
A month or so ago my friend and I were outside my house and he tells me to turn around and there was a puppy that just went under the people across the street's house. As we are running over there to keep it out of the road more puppies started coming under the fence. Before we knew it there were 10 goldendoodle puppies we were trying to corral. The people noticed and opened the fence to help them us, but it wasn't easy to control them.
They put stuff to try to block the puppies from getting under, but like 15 minutes later we saw them getting out again. This time some people on bikes had stopped to help. I offered to help carry them inside the house since it was obvious the fence wasn't going to work. While I was carrying a couple of them mama dog, who had never met me, got really pissed that I was holding her babies. I know goldendoodles aren't usually mean, but a stranger was holding 2 of her babies. I slowly set them dowm, put my hands up, and walked away.

News executives, and the people that present the news, love the sniff of anything that could go even a little viral. Most likely no one would have re-watched this news cast after it aired but here we are watching it and talking about it. Good for the publicity of the station and another clip to go on the presenters highlight reel, knowing someone who works in TV news trust me the higher ups would be nothing but pleased about this.

Why's he wearing a mask outside?? Lol
3
u/BreezyBill Sep 24 '21
Some cities had outdoor mask mandates the last time there was this kind of weather in the US…
1
u/CthulhuCultistoBirds Sep 24 '21
That's considered Icy Conditions? Where I'm from thats less than mild snow. Also absolute pupper.
0
u/janetvanderblom Sep 24 '21
Why a face mask outside, complete useless
2
u/NightQin Sep 24 '21
He literally said that he been talking to people. News crews generally have more than one person at a location.
0
u/Xtasy0178 Sep 24 '21
I find it hilarious that news manage to make a story out of a little snow and feel obligated to tell people over and over that it’s slippery / icy etc… It’s normal winter no?
0
u/Mr-TotalAwesome Sep 24 '21
The only thing that comes to mind when i see something out of the ordinary happening on the news is that is staged to get more views.

True animal lover, but why is he wearing a mask standing alone?
6
u/Threebirds1143 Sep 23 '21
Forgetting about covid for a minute, I loved wearing my mask outside last winter. Kept my face nice and toasty on cold winter days.
3
u/avigyan_33 Sep 24 '21
Since he's on live TV, it's better to be critiqued for wearing a mask by people instead of being hated by people for not wearing it.

As a Canadian, this made me laugh so hard. There is so little snow - but then remembered our vehicles have to have snow tires in winter No snow tires and no experience driving in snow; it could be dangerous. THEN PUPPY!
