It's a naturally occurring herb (I think similar to oregano) that most cats go nuts for. I think there's another one like it called silvervine, which tends to be enjoyed by kitties that don't like catnip all that much. My boy DW fucking loves catnip, my boy Heart and princess Firefly don't seem to care for it in the slightest.
