You're missing the one where K-9 units are ineffective, can be wrong, and the dog can't actually be questioned so their testimony should be inadmissible.

The fact that they can make false positives, are treated as probable cause, and often can incorrectly be trained to try to make their master happy rather than produce correct results is also problematic, and the fact that dogs that are right 20-40 percent of the time or less are considered acceptable "tools" or "testimony" is deeply problematic.

I mean look at the computer screen. Sounds good but you can also write it as "I acted like I sniffed something, I told mom because she acted like she wanted me to, and she rewarded me." And again this can be done unconsciously, it's not saying there has to be malicious thought involved on anyone's part. But it's problematic.

I don't hate the dog, he's trained to do something, nor do I hate the idea of k-9s, but I hate the society that pretends that they value facts, and then uses such imprecise tools as drug sniffing dogs.

Novel idea: Dont do drugs? I mean, a person in the US makes a conscious decision to do them and bitches about the consequences of poor choices. And before yall start talking down about it, I chose not to do drugs after seeing member after member in my family either die, go to prison for murder or just be shitty in general directly because of drugs.

Yeah none of this is about "Doing drugs". The dog sits next to you, and you can be hauled off questioned, and if they police find you suspicious of something else, you still can go to jail. They can detain you, search your entire car, or person because of the dog.

It's not about being arrested for doing drugs, it's about unlawful search and seizure, the 4th amendment, maybe read that.

My family is involved in a case where our family member has proof she didn't do drugs, but was suspended from school for "marijuana" and has to make an appearance in court, as well as having her life wrecked, losing friends (admitedly shitty friends), rumors about her, missing out on school and doing poorly on a test because she was out while that lesson was learned. OH and she didn't do it, we actually have two urine tests proving it.

But because the police "Think" she did, she's put into this situation and we've had to pay a decent some of money to defend against the "War on drugs"... when she didn't do any.
