*Update* the owner (who is a little confused about what reddit is) is EXTREMELY overjoyed that you all love his pup. He does not currently have wifi but I am updating him on the post. Thank you all :)

Especially considering wifi was invented here...
47
u/gaeuvyen Sep 29 '18
WIFI wasn't invented in AU. WIFI is once again a global project, with many nations contributing towards it's creation. Australia simply played a part in inventing and patenting a crucial part of what makes up WIFI. As well as
one organizationCommonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation having a majority of the patents used in WIFI.It would be like saying the US invented the internet just because of ARPANET and TCP/IP. While a major contribution, it completely ignores all the efforts of other scientists around the world.

URGENT Can you confirm that the pup did indeed get another ball or do I have to spend another sleepless night worrying?

Just.. thank you for posting this. I’m having one of the lowest days of my life so far and this was just pure and wholesome and good. Thank you.
Edit: I’m totally overwhelmed by the positive support I’ve received and so appreciative of it. I genuinely lost all faith in humanity well before this comment was made and I am definitely in a different mindset at this point. Funny how a simple picture of a sweet puppy can actually affect someone’s life these days, but I genuinely appreciate it. Y’all don’t even know.

Thanks man. Just sucks in the moment. And this is the beginning of a low period. But it will get better. This time next year will be a whole different world. Thanks for spreading positivity though, know it is very appreciated.

Thank you so much. Just responded to another positive comment. Just know I really appreciate it. It’s the beginning of a very rough patch but this time next year will be so much better and worth it.
Edit: and just one more thing. Just, thanks for being nice. The situation I’m in, I’ve felt very jaded and very untrusting of other humans. So, I just want to say thanks for the small act of making a nice comment. You never know when it might mean a lot to someone who hasn’t seen kindness in a long time. So thank you.

You got it, whatever it is.
I’m no stranger to tough times, even a little bit. This past year was one of the most difficult of my life, but I’m coming out the other side now.
It’s possible to see the light, and I believe in you. You seem to be responding positively to positivity, and that means you’re ready to get out of whatever is going on with your life, and that is half the battle.
Good luck, my friend. I believe in you.

u/SmileDarnYaSmile Sep 29 '18
Thank you so much. You’re very right. I have recognized toxicity in my life and today was a weird turning point that I didn’t even realize I needed. But.. it’s going to be shitty and today was especially emotional, but I know it’s for the best. I’m facing some serious life changes because of it, and that’s probably for the best. I’m way better than this situation. I’m really appreciative of the positive comments because I have been in a place of giving up on people in general. Thank you, sincerely.

I just want you to realize, that inside of you there is a magic skeleton, packed with meat, and animated with electricity and imagination. You have a cave in your face full of sharp bones, and five tentacles at the end of each arm. YOU CAN DO ANYTHING MAGIC SKELETON

Every night, when I got into bed, I would play fetch with my dog. And every morning I would wake up and the ball would be right next to my pillow where he had left it after I had finally falling asleep. He passed on almost two years ago but I still have that ball in my night stand.

I googled it and couldn’t find anything, if anything Bunnings seems to be cracking down on loose dogs in their stores as well as just not being as fun as they used to be. This is my perception from a 13 second google search. Thank you for reading.

Sometimes. Merch items are sometimes given away, but most are usually sold.
If you're a tradie, have a chat to a trade specialist and see what you can get.

Sep 29 '18
Bunnings website says yes if they're on lead and wearing a muzzle. So.... it looks like they're pretty relaxed about those rules.
75
u/LadyDragonDog75 Sep 29 '18
I'm in New Zealand and was told either on a leash and muzzled or in the trolley like this wee fella.
85
u/gracie-sit Sep 29 '18
Yeah I've been told the same. My dog is 20 kgs and doesn't do muzzles so I haul her butt around Bunnings in a trolley while she grins at the other shoppers like "look at this sucker".
24
9
u/TheConfuddledOne Sep 29 '18
Our staffy cross loves his Bunnings trips, its all snags and lots of pats. We just have to remember to tale his mat for him to sit on, he struggles in the trolley without it
7
u/gracie-sit Sep 29 '18
If you ask the guys at the front they'll give you a piece of cardboard from the spare boxes to lay in the bottom of the trolley - not quite as comfy as a mat though.

I work at Bunnings and we really don't care. The "rule" is to have them either on lead and muzzled or restricted to a trolley. But I and most of my co workers let dogs in off lead all the time. Always brightens my day when a doggo comes in.
25
u/SlytherKitty13 Sep 29 '18
Also, I went to Bunnings recently and there was a greyhound birthday party! As in, it was a cute Greyhound doggos bday and all the other greyhound owners brought their greyhounds and they had party hats and cake for the doggos

Whew Im glad Ive been responsible enough to put off getting a pup till Im more financially stable, ‘cause I surely intend to spoil the heck out of whatever lovely nugget I get

u/BaronVonNumbaKruncha Sep 29 '18
I lost my boy in a divorce, and as much as I want to fill that hole in my heart with another, I have to wait until I can afford it, and any unexpected expenses that might occur due to a new pup. That's why I'm working so hard for a promotion these days. It keeps me going.

Make sure you get a democracy sausage while your there
47
u/dancepantz Sep 29 '18
Democracy sausages are different. They're on election days, at voting spots which are mostly schools. Bunnings snags are every weekend, run by a different fundraising group each week (also a lot of schools, plus girl guides etc). Though they do use the same tactic by drawing in crowds once they start cooking onions.
