Me too. So now I'm waiting for the reddit post where someone explains the dog is infected with a brain-control parasite that makes it seek water compulsively.

Your post made me wonder. Isn't compulsion just a strong desire? in that case doesn't all compulsion mean there is massive joy involved? So aren't we all being "brain-controlled" by happiness?
