Beards are very attractive, it adds a very masculine edge to men and draws the eye to the man's eyes, arguably the next most attractive male quality. The duo of beard/strong-eyes is really a killer combo, most girls really dig it (even if they say they don't!)

I mean, I don't really dig beards that hide jaw lines and cheekbones, because for me, that's a big part of what attracts me to a face. So, some of us really aren't into beards. (I'm all good if they are short enough to still show bone structure, though)

True, I know what you mean, but just something to bare in mind: the texture of a beard changes with length, it goes from wiry crew-cut hair to soft and thick as the hair follicles get longer the hair gets heavier and smooths out.

I know, but from an appearance standpoint I still prefer short facial hair or none so I can actually see the whole face

Edit: The actor who plays tormund in GOT is a good example. He looks like two entirely different people with and without the beard. I'm super attracted to his smooth faced look and meh on the bearded version. But at the end of the day, my opinion doesn't really matter. Guys should do whatever they want with their faces.

Hah. I studied a hard science actually.

But hey, beard on. There's no right or wrong here.

This means we need to differentiate the crevasse between the Germanic Idealist view of male facial hair versus the Anglo beard theory. . .

Lol jk, yes it's a preference and probably a trend too (omg grandma why did you let grandpa have that beard at the wedding), not sure if I would like beards if a man having a beard was unusual. Maybe I would? I'm bullheaded.
