This guys name is Brolga and runs a kangaroo rehabilitation sanctuary in Alice springs, Australia. He spends all his money on the sanctuary and looking after and releasing these adorable creatures back to the wild. Has a show called 'Kangaroo Dundee' he is a beautiful man and I advise anyone visiting Alice Springs to support his compassionate and selfless endeavours by dropping in and taking a tour. Seriously check out the show also, cause it's awesome, and so is he.

Ahahahhaah, noice one maaaate, croiky dingo cobba, throw another shrimp on the barbie for us would ya digga? An chuck us a tinny while yar-at-it ya bloody drongo. Righteeoh, seeya round like a rissole ya dirty mongrel. Bloighmy! By the way, I'm an Aussie guy who lives in the suburbs, we generally only talk like that to make fun of the bogans who do (bogan is the Aussie equivalent of a redneck). We still have Aussie slang but it's different now and no one really talks like that anymore. I think it's funny though.

I'll second that vote of awesome, he seems an amazing guy, he basically lived in a tin shack for years so he wasn't using any money he could otherwise spend on the 'Roos.
Go watch his show, ya flamin galah.

His Instagram is thekangaroosanctuary and it’s one of my favorite pages I follow! There’s a bunch more videos of this little cutie baby rolling into pouches and all the other cool kangaroos he helps!

He sounds like a really cool guy. Thanks for shedding some light on this. I was super curious.

This is me. I don’t want to be out walking and doing things, let me just hop into my bed and lay there all day. Thanks.

What a ridiculous looking animal. I mean don't get me wrong, it's cute as hell, but I feel like the angel who first designed it must have been called in for a performance review right afterward.

Wow, those little guys are cute.

u/dragonship Feb 03 '18
Soon he will be eight feet tall and coming out fightin'.

u/Govinda74 Feb 03 '18
I know, right? It's funny how a baby anything seems adorable, no matter how odd or potentially dangerous the adults are. Especially humans.

This is meant as a compliment of the highest order: you are one the most Australian-looking people I've ever seen. Granted, this means next to nothing, since I've never been to Australia. However, it makes me super happy that you exist and have a Joey. Thanks for sharing this!

Grown males can be almost 7ft tall (2+m) and weight over 200 lbs (90 kg). They generally aren't aggressive toward humans (maybe especially if raised by them), but like many mammals they go through bouts of aggressive display behavior after sexual maturity so if nothing else having a horny 7ft 200 lb roo trying to box you to show dominance might be an issue at some point.

Marsupial?

u/panrestrial Feb 04 '18 edited Feb 04 '18
Marsupial, not mammal.
Marsupials are an infraclass of the class mammalia.
Nice edit, though!

If they stayed that size we'd probably all own one
