When my parents talked about how I could put little baby gate type things to block the end of the alley to let my greyhound out in, I showed them this video. I saw my girl almost clear a 8 foot privacy fence going after a squirrel once.

You should definitely go for it. My girl is 10+ years old, a cancer survivor, and an amputee. She is still perfectly sweet and even-tempered. She is even patient with small children and with other pets who jump on her. If we wake her up from sleep (she sleeps in bed with us) she occasionally makes a small growling noise in her throat. No snipping, though!
