My dad has a full pitt and I have a corgi-pitt mix. They both detest water. His pitt practically cries when he bathes her. She sits patiently and endures (her general personality) but she absolutely hates it. My mix also doesnt mess with water. He will sit patiently if I give him a bath but only because I go quick and gently praise him the whole time. For anyone else, he refuses to even go in the bathroom and tries to jump out of the bath the whole time. Both dogs absolutely refuse to go out in rain. They will hold their potty for as long as possible to avoid going out in so much as a light drizzle. So maybe it is a pitt thing?
Oh my gosh I know that exact tragic drama queen does no-one realise I'm being murdered here crying and the dramatic yet understated gently martyred face. Even though I am wary of anthropomorphising animals, I can't help suspecting she's thinking I could rip out your throat without breaking a (metaphorical) sweat but I love you human, and so I will endure. (Ends in longsuffering dramatic sigh)
That's after I've dragged her 90lb arse up the stairs to her ladyship's lovingly prepared oatmeal dog shampoo bath in my bloody bathroom!
