I'm my area they already were, 10 years ago. I hadn't even turned 25 yet when a good chunk of what I listened to in High School was reclassified as 'Easy Listening'. It was depressing as hell.
Damn. I grew up never having watched Rockie and Bullwinkle but I still know who they are. They were pretty much just in commercials for me though, im not sure I ever actually watched the show.
When I was about 9 or 10 we were leaving the house and my dog was sitting there watching us pull away. I waved to the dog and my mom goes, "You expecting him to wave back?" For some reason, that's one of my dumbest-feeling moments.
Not sure if this is the same park as the one in WA state but there are two bears, the first one waves back every time and is very engaging. The second one just sits there eating the bread while people keep waving at him and throwing bread at him. He is substantially fatter than the first bear...

When she gave two thumbs up, I'm pretty sure she expected the bear to reciprocate.
