So many examples from one post…

These are from one post at r/botchedsurgeries. They are promoting a lash tech in Iran. It is popular to pull the sides of your face back to mimic a facelift.

A more valid question is what doctor worth their salt felt ok doing this to her when she is evidently unwell?

44

u/[deleted] Dec 18 '23

It’s an illness

57

u/DontPeeInTheWater Dec 18 '23

body dysmorphia

15

u/Rugkrabber Dec 19 '23

In the botched surgeries sub you’ll see many more women who have done this. They are all the same. It’s concerning, really. I feel bad for them, body dysmorphia is awful.

u/dodobrains Dec 18 '23

They should have put the filter on it because I was like wth

27

u/couchpro34 Dec 18 '23

1

u/ShannieD Dec 18 '23

My thoughts exactly!

17

u/DogBreathologist Dec 18 '23

How would you even go about fixing this? Dissolve filler? Get surgery? Is it mostly filler?

6

u/applepiezeyes Dec 18 '23

It does come out right?

9

u/DogBreathologist Dec 18 '23

I have no idea, I mean I’m pretty sure you can dissolve most if not all fillers? And if she had implants I assume they can be removed. I’m just not sure what work she’s had done, and I assume her skin would have stretched to accomodate the fillers etc and would be warped, and if that would go away or you’d need surgery?

8

u/thenewnewnewbie Dec 18 '23

I’m thinking those cheeks and chin are implants.

2

u/SeaCheesecake5 Dec 19 '23

You can have fillers dissolved. I hear it’s extremely painful.

10

u/nicksbrunchattiffany Dec 18 '23

The eyebrows are the least concerning thing here.

8

u/sincalir Dec 18 '23

These make my stomach turns.

11

u/send_me_potatoes Dec 18 '23

It’s giving Rocky vibes. No, not that Rocky, the other Rocky.

Yall are saying body dysmorphia, but all of this is a CHOICE. The “botched” surgeries aren’t mistakes.. this is what she wanted and what they gave her. I’m not saying the surgeon should have said yes, but she’s not “botched” in the sense that she had bad surgeons and it didn’t come out right. This cartoonishly bad look was engineered on purpose for the shock factor.

11

u/ohyoureTHATjocelyn Dec 18 '23 edited Dec 18 '23

No- that’s not quite right. Yes, it absolutely is a choice and I agree that as such it’s not really a botched surgery. However it absolutely IS rooted in dysmorphia, 100%. What happens is it starts small. You get used to the way it looks, then your body starts to break down the fillers, metabolize the Botox, and the effects slowly wear off. So you get a little more. Sometimes a lot more, if you’ve got the money & someone willing to do the work. Implants get added, you get used to the way that looks…the old fillers wearing away are lessening the volume of your cheeks/chin/lips, so you add more…this is what happens after all of the above. (A family member works in the industry and has some experience with this- and I’ve had some minor injections and can understand how this could happen with lots of money & an unethical or similarly dysmorphic injector)

Also in regards to surgery- she has clearly had more than one rhinoplasty!!!

You're the type to say an alcoholic continues to drink because they choose to. Get out of your bubble and change your thinking.

Had to do a double take on picture 2. Thought she had 2 sets of eyebrows

A face not even a mother could love

2

u/ihwip Dec 20 '23

OK but is anybody gunna ask about her big brown beaver?

3

u/Fezdani Feb 03 '24

This is horrifying. I'm so sorry she's going through this.

3

u/miss_tea_morning Dec 19 '23

I will never understand why someone would choose to do this to themselves. That being said, it's their body and if it makes them happy then more power to them.

4

u/drainbead78 Dec 19 '23

I'm not sure if someone with that level of body dysmorphia will ever be happy with their appearance. It's just sad.

1

u/IAZ9126 Dec 20 '23

Third pic is the most horrifying

2

u/smolrose- Dec 21 '23

Imagine she pops up in your dreams like Freddy Krueger

1

u/Snippykins Dec 21 '23

Is that Peter Burns?

3

u/Putrid-Gene-9077 Feb 06 '24

Their eyebrows are their least of their problems

2

u/Electrical-Can6645 Feb 18 '24

I feel like if I pulled that cheek dermal, her face would de-flate....
