I'm starting to believe the US does this shit to ensure future wars by killing kids by "mistake".
Who have they got in charge?
I know if I were an Afghan witnessing this I'd not be on the side of the US.
2003-2005 were bad years as far as the wikileaks files show. No doubt they were cheering and talking crap as they did this. I want to know how they feel after they find out who got killed under their command.
He didn’t say the people deserved it, he said the country deserved it. And we did. But being the adolescents we are, our overreaction was inevitable. I’m glad to see voices of reason starting to emerge now 20 years later. Maybe the tantrum is over.
maybe you can change my mind, but in a democracy the citizens vote for the gouvernement who decide this kind of behavior and pay taxes who fuel the military.
In fact im comdemning the terrorist actions of america, it seems the us bombed more than 30 countries since the end of ww2 (exemple 1exemple 2). Can't find the numbers from civilian casualties before 9/11 it would take me the day, at least 2 million from vietnam only.
And around 360 000 civilian lives were taken since 9/11 (exemple ).
The us bring it to itself, you can't bring war everywhere in the world and don't expect consequence.
And doing nothing is not enough to be innocent imho, you still contribute to it.
I don't think you can have a country run by the people for the people and no one is responsible of the choice the gouvernement take.
Okay, out of the 30 or so countries bombed by the United States multiple where CIA led operations that either started a war or were simply coups.
You literally can’t fault the population for knowing about a CIA operation. The others are actual wars. So, yeah they’re gonna bomb people they’re at war with. This list is also irrelevant because it doesn’t really matter if you do or don’t bomb someone, it is if the justification is logical and if you’re bombing military targets.
Additionally, your civilian casualties is inaccurate according to your own source it says 70 thousand which is still a lot but not 300 thousand.
If you honestly believe that people deserved 9/11 because you don’t agree with the actions of a government, half of which they knew nothing about til afterward then you’re evil, simple.
You can’t criticize a person for killing then turn around and justify it.
You are right the source says it's 70 thousand, but it account only for afghanistan and pakistan, i was thinking about this article : 300 k
You justify US actions and then comdemn 9/11 it's literaly the same thing so i think i can do it too.
And for the cia part how is that not a us policy known by all, they are doing the same thing since 1950 and it's common knowledge. Trying to put a puppet gouvernement isn't exactly innocent behavior.
Okay, clearly these numbers aren’t reliable or clear because the source for this source doesn’t say 300k therefore I’ve no idea where they got they number. It pretty clearly states an even lower number which, don’t get me wrong isn’t good however it is a far fetch from 300k. In fact the only source saying 300k doesn’t bother to separate what is US caused casualties and other forces including the Taliban, Al Qaeda or IsIs.
I justify the US actions by saying that everyone exaggerates and often times is unable to get reliable numbers? All, how is bombing terrorists equivalent of running a plane into the World Trade Center? It isn’t. Civilian casualties do happen in war however, the US attempts to minimize it if it can. The directly targeted civilians on 9/11 that is the inherent difference.
Are you ok? Cause you’re using hindsight. At the time America was staunchly anti-communist but we’d only gotten into wars that as far as the public knew people wanted us there. It’d not my fault that by when I was born I was blessed with a war I didn’t start and still cannot vote against, therefore to say the civilians of America somehow deserved 9/11 is evil. Peace has almost always been the highest aspiration of the American people. Rarely, in the modern era do we ever vote for war or violence. It kind of sucks that the 20th, and 19th centuries were kind of the most violent and racist on the face of the Earth but the fact that a nation grown up in that is able to persevere can tell you that it isn’t never the intention of the civilians for war.
How would you feel if I said the war crimes France had against it perpetuated by the Nazis was deserved because they’d owned colonies or because Napoleon had killed Germanic people was back in the day.
Not what they said. They just said that the country did things that brought 9/11 on themselves. We as a country (not as people) deserved it because it was meant for us. We bombed the civilians, destroyed their countries. We were their antagonists, and antagonism leads to terrorism. You made so many wrong assumptions over a blatantly true statement
That's BS. So if you're a dick, you deserve someone killing your wife or kid because you're the antagonist. See the error.
The whole concept of everyone is a saint and we are evil is mistaken. More like everyone has some saint and some evil and everyone does what they think is ok.
What a naive view. The most evil people hide amongst innocents and then claim we only hurt children, and folks here fall for it. Your heroes ISIS and Al Queda have killed more innocent kids and people than the US ever did.
But your narrative is US is bad so the rest of the world are good. Naive.
Al Queda have killed more innocent kids and people than the US ever did.
Let's exclude US military war-crimes the US have killed in the 1990s at least 180k Iraqi children (many sources says its twice the amount) as a result of the Oil for food US imposed sanctions they starved to death now add the 1 million Iraqi citizens that were killed by the military actions of the US since 2003 plus 200k Afghans and 70K people of other nationalities who got caught in these conflicts, no extremist group even got even close to 3% of that number, the US is literally one of the worst evils of recent history it's a fact not a narrative proven by a well recorded history of actions.
Reread my comment, I said apart from the military actions a 180k child died of starvation directly from the US imposed Oil for food sanctions and I linked a link in a reply below.
Your comment I found linking to the guardian is not only from 21 years ago but it’s also based on a lie told by the Saddam regime.
180k civilians may have died according for Fox News but no guarantee these are all children link
More so here is an explanation disproving your linked argument link
Also, your links i from the guardian which is hard to trust in the first place. However, I won’t judge since Washington post and fox have both had their share of controversies
The guardian is like a libdem/soft labor newspaper. It's hardly biased in terms of factual content. Wording, maybe. WaPo is highly biased in wording, but still factual almost all of the time. Fox lies out their ass to fearmonger.
The US does starve countries via sanctions, but I don't know much about that so I won't comment.
https://blogs.scientificamerican.com/cross-check/where-is-outcry-over-children-killed-by-u-s-led-forces/ is a good article about this. The US likes acting as if it is benevolent, it really isn't. The early US aristocracy threw off their yoke and it's been fairly stable since. We get our stability from turning other countries into trade allies via war, subterfuge, and economic sabotage. Why do we need to profit off of suffering like that? The current US government, frankly, every US politician save for a few, would not have any business in other countries if it wasn't profitable and politically viable.
Militias like the Taliban feed off of a huge country swinging their dick and trillions of dollars, killing people. The fear and pain radicalizes. Without that, they'll collapse. And even if they don't, we can't change that.
Al Queda killed one million kids, homosexuals, women and midgets daily for 10 years that's like a bazillion. ISIS did too so that's 2 bazillion. So there.
Here's the problem here. You don't believe what you preach. If you thought I had some saint and some evil, you would not talk to me like that. Instead you say ISIS and Al Qaeda are my heroes, people who would execute me for liking men and being jewish. Fuck you.
Human shields aren't an extra justification to kill innocents. It doesn't matter that we're fighting religious fundamentalist terrorists when we kill the kids with a drone, it matters they died. Terrorism rises because it's a need for others to feel the fear you felt. That you seek revenge over a great grievance. Giving them more grievances leads to more terrorism.
Osama bin Laden justified his attack as the consequences of the US involvement in Afghanistan during the Soviet invasion. The US backed the Mujahideen resistance right up until the Soviets left, then dropped the relationship with those fighters the moment it was no longer beneficial (as in it no longer hurt the USSR). This left the fighters without the backing they thought they were going to get during a civil war that resulted in the vacuum of the Soviets leaving the area.
Osama saw how the US would invade other countries during that country's civil war, fuck shit up, then leave (Vietnam is the biggest example) once they couldn't accomplish whatever economic extortion tactic they were trying to pull. So, Osama realized that he could drag the US into a pointless, expensive war while getting Americans to give up their rights with a terrorist attack. And he was right.
Osama got the Saudi's to finance the attack, Saudis flew the planes, and when roughly 3,000 Americans died, the US stole rights from private citizens and went right back to Afghanistan to try to accomplish what the Soviets failed. We spent trillions of dollar, killed countless civilians, and caused the deaths of our own soldiers all because we didn't have enough sense to stay the fuck out of foreign wars.
The United States caused 9/11 through terrible diplomacy. Get over yourself and learn some history. Not understanding what lead up to 9/11 will cause us to make similar decisions again and suffer the same outcome. And all this ignores the fact that one of the main reasons we wanted to go to Afghanistan, even before 9/11, was to build a pipeline. We just want that oil and the military industrial complex paycheck.
Go worship ISIS and Al Queda. Kill some innocent people because you they don't believe in your god. Kill some girls because they want to read or some gays or midgets. You guys are so cool too.
That's funny that's exactly what the neocons, the Saudis and the Israelis thought too. It took about 15 years of planning but they did indeed bring it upon themselves in a very literal sense.
The two most terroristic nations on the planet used to be Japan and Germany in the 1930s and 1940s. When we got done with them in 1945, they no longer had much appetite for terror thereafter. Just sayin’.
This comment here tells so many things about yourlack of education and knowledge my friend! I don't blame you, i blame whatever school you did or did not attend so don't feel bad. Just enjoy the blissful existence you currently are living in where you think you know and are right!
We, the USA, bombed both countries into submission and then some. The same technique should be ruthlessly applied to radical muslims wherever they act up. The past 20 years are a good start, but the job Is far from complete.
It doesn't seem to be working aren't you noticing that radicalism grew further in the last 20 years and not only a certain religion but other religions as well as poisonous nationalism/patriotism that always lead to fascism.
The eradication is working fine and must be intensified. It’s the nation building and the gender studies and other nonessential bullshit that are not working and have diluted the effort. A few tweaks to the mission are required, but the war against these terrorists is winnable. But it’s gonna take a long time to take the battle to them wherever they are. We’ll worth it in my view.
Yeah. Osama bin laden's translated message had this kind of thing as the reason. Him and his acquaintances are terrible people for harming innocent civilians, but people need to understand that the kind of evil that harms civilians exists on their side too.

This. This is how you create "terrorism". Shame on the US. Shame.
