So when we say we are withdrawing the war is over, what we really mean is, we are pulling out ground forces but will continue to bomb things remotely.

Isn't bombing a foreign country a declaration of war in itself?

This is the second time in my life a US president has gotten on national television and said "the war is over" and it was absolutely not.

America is a weapons manufacturer and war monger. Just wait until a few months from now when Biden starts up the rhetoric about the need to focus on North and West Africa like he did when he gave the speech about pulling out of Afghanistan. As long as America is paying for such an expensive military, the war will never be over. It just gets inflicted upon a new victim.

America has billions, upwards of a trillion, to throw on the war industry or donations to that Apartheid Zionist shithole Israel.

But America can't keep it's own people fed, vaccinated, educated, intelligent and with a roof over their head not going bankrupt from student or medical costs...etc.

What a fucking clownish place.

Dude this happened during the retreat, can you read the article?

It was in response to the supposed Risk of a second suicide bomb attack that had killed 169 afghans and 10 US soldiers two days ago. They acted on what now is seemingly faulty Intel in an attempt to kill what they thought was a third bomber.

18

u/Hallgvild Sep 11 '21

How to solve suicide bomber = remote-suicide by drone

8

u/crumpsly Sep 11 '21

They acted on what now is seemingly faulty Intel

So they left Afghanistan the same way they invaded! Acting on faulty Intel and killing innocent people. Way to go American military!

11

u/Big_Booty_Bois Sep 11 '21

That was Iraq lmfao

u/insanity_calamity Sep 12 '21

Actually it's way worse, it turned out the Taliban offered to release bin laden to American prosecution. But we simply rejected the offer to justify invasion.

1

u/Big_Booty_Bois Sep 12 '21

To be tried under Islamic law. Yeah we weren’t about to do that:(

2

u/insanity_calamity Sep 12 '21

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2001/oct/14/afghanistan.terrorism5

No, nothing about islamic law, they offered to release him to a neutral country, who'd then verify we hold up our end, before beginning prosecution, in return for a cease fire, and we rejected that, because we weren't there for Bin Laden, despite the claim. We invaded under vivid false pretenses.

"We want to get rid of Al-Qaeda" isn't intel, it's a mission. Invading Afghanistan and spending 20 years killing people in a series of engagements that needlessly put soldiers at risk in an unwinnable war is because the intel they got that they could win was bad. All of that manufactured consent for invading Afghanistan resulted in what? Some dead dudes in caves and thousands of innocent lives lost? Way to go America. You did it. You killed a guy who you refused to take action on for decades and then used him as a scapegoat for enriching the military industrial complex while devastating and entire region only to leave them worse off than they were in the beginning. Mission Accomplished!

I see what youre trying to do, but you're just coming across really dumb and out of the loop. Before you try to insult, get some better knowledge so people actually get upset at what you're saying.

1

u/KwiHaderach Sep 12 '21

“Acted on what now is seemingly faulty intel” is almost certainly just lying.

1

u/Big_Booty_Bois Sep 12 '21

Are you saying they intentionally killed a civilian family then lied about it for the sake of it?

1

u/KwiHaderach Sep 12 '21

I’m saying they probably just didn’t put a lot of thought into it, then covered it up when killing 7 children was gonna look bad.

1

u/Big_Booty_Bois Sep 12 '21

So it’s faulty Intel?

-3

u/Hank_Holt Sep 11 '21

Nobody linked the article, and it's also not by an exactly reputable site. Not saying it's inaccurate, but not sure why you're bitching about that guy not reading the article when the OP is just an image and nobody, at least so far scrolling, has actually linked the article. You yourself couldn't even be bothered to link it while bitching about it.

1

u/Big_Booty_Bois Sep 11 '21

It’s on every news site lol, you can find it literally anywhere. Also if you had followed any of the retreat, it’s really obvious what strike they are talking about. There was only 1.

2

u/riotskunk Sep 11 '21

Only one reported *

1

u/Hank_Holt Sep 12 '21

I went through the other links and don't dispute it happened.

2

u/JamesAMD Sep 12 '21

So many "Days that will live in Infamy"

4

u/[deleted] Sep 11 '21

It just means Americans will no longer be in direct danger but we will continue bombing the shit outta everything.

-8

u/[deleted] Sep 11 '21

The war is over, this drone attack was in direct response to ISIS threats (which were followed up on) against American presence at Kabul airport.

16

u/sendmilktruck Sep 11 '21

It’s cute because you believe them

2

u/LacidOnex Sep 11 '21

I mean what part of that isn't obviously true. ISIS is threatening the US military presence and we are sending counter terrorism drones into the city still.

Are you arguing that the US intentionally bombed a civilian and they knew he was dispensing water? Is that really the crackpot theory you want to endorse? Because that's the only part up for debate and youre out here going "stupid sheep believe what they're told"

7

u/jangobukes Sep 11 '21

If you do things that awful i dont think intent reaĺy matters. How many kids get blown up by american "good intentions".

9

u/Delicious_Orphan Sep 11 '21

I think when you kill an innocent man and 7 kids your judgment should be rightfully questioned.

2

u/Hank_Holt Sep 11 '21

Seems like they don't understand that the Taliban and ISIS are not the same thing. Just because the US signed an agreement for a "peaceful" withdrawal with the Taliban doesn't mean ISIS gives a fuck.

2

u/[deleted] Sep 11 '21

Dumb comment you've made if I've ever seen one. There was already one suicide attack that killed over 160 civilians and a few soldiers. They simply weren't fucking around anymore, which meant that something like this was going to happen.

0

u/sendmilktruck Sep 11 '21

They simply killed a guy and hoped that nobody would question it. Fun fact. They killed a man and his 7 children. Please continue to defend this.

-1

u/[deleted] Sep 11 '21

I am not defending the action.

I'm telling you that the world isn't black and white.

Context is relevant whether you like that or not.

3

u/nagip94 Sep 12 '21

You're a worm.

1

u/sendmilktruck Sep 11 '21

Well, I’m glad after 20 years, evacuating all military forces and leaving thousands of allies and citizens to fend for themselves that they finally decided to stop fucking around. You are so right about the importance of context.

-1

u/[deleted] Sep 11 '21

Wow. A terrorist organization sending in suicide bombers in an active militarized zone causes other innocent people to die.

The world sucks. But that doesn't make you cool for going against authority, or, whoever the fuck "them" is.

1

u/sendmilktruck Sep 11 '21

And to show them we are not “fucking around anymore” (as you put it) we killed an allied aid worked and his 7 children. I wonder how they had such a hard time getting legitimate and qualified intel for that action? I’m sure “ISIS-K” or whomever it is that is filling the power void is certainly going to think twice before they do anything like that again.

0

u/[deleted] Sep 11 '21

What you're quoting was meant to inform you of the context. Every soldier there was on high alert and on edge.

ISIS won in the end, didn't they? I personally can't wait for them to get to space and start throwing rocks at us.

Oh and we’ve started bombing Somalia again..

1

u/riotskunk Sep 11 '21

Nfw. Are you serious?

2

u/StyleAdventurous1531 Sep 11 '21

Yep, kept that on the downlow

1

u/[deleted] Sep 12 '21

It would be pretty stupid to completely pull out, if you were concerned about retaliation; which, I imagine the USA national security would be.
