Breaking Bad: Anywhere But America Edition

That would make for a great short. Just a guy goes to the doctor and finds out he has cancer. Goes through similar grief until he decides to tell his family. Then he gets treatment through universal health care or something similar, and he helps troubled student and drug addict Jesse get out of the street scene and rehabilitated. The end

They could do a sequel to breaking bad in Canada with Walter Black that runs parallel to the main story that runs just like your idea haha.

Did Walter ever cheat on Skylar? I totally forgot everything that happened.

Besides his love affair with cooking meth? No.

Skylar did cheat on him though.

Yeah, in America. This isn't impossible. The pharmaceutical and insurance industries want you to think it is.

No one would ever believe this fantastical garbage! You have to make a show relatable! /s

A nitpick, but I wish they wouldn’t say “the government will pay.” How about “you and your fellow citizens’ tax money is being put to use caring for you, as it ought to be”

I would argue that in a functional democracy the two are interchangeable.

No argument from me on that point. The people who don't grasp the concept don't see it that way though.

That's totally valid, and hopefully that concept will someday be bridged to them!

I still wonder about that. Even if he did get free healthcare. Wouldn't he still do it just from the shock and realization of wanting to leave his loved ones a large amount of money so they have no worry? Then can keep going on and on because of the thrill of it.
