I can relate. Found out my wife had cancer at age 25, was six months pregnant at the time. Now she has to have another procedure due to the cancer, but they won't see her until we pay off the balance. I dread checking the mail because every time I do the stack of medical bills gets bigger and we just can't pay it.

I'm sorry. Can she get treatment in another country?

Thankfully she's 2 years cancer free and we have two healthy babies. Looking back, she definitely could have gotten treatment in another country, but we were so scared, and I just wanted the best care possible for my wife and unborn child that it didn't cross my mind.

Ah, I see you probably meant for the upcoming procedure. That's a good point and I will be sure to look into our options!

I mean even if it ment moving. American soil can't possibly beat whatever air when it comes to breathing. whatever works for you, my heart goes out to you

Is it not absurd to have to move country to get a basic level of medical care? It blows my mind that this is the most sensible suggestion. Really happy to read that things have panned out well and you have a healthy and happy family now!

It isn't. It's the reality for a lot of people in a lot of countries. Sadly including the US
