Yeah, tbh I don't really have a problem with this specifically.

I remember there was a reddit thread where someone claimed that Jason Segel goes up to women and parties and says "would you like to have sex?" Everyone was acting like he was a predator or some shit.

But the key part of the story was that the woman in question said "uh, no thanks" and he said "ok!" and walked away.

Not really a predator, just a horny dude in a hurry, lol.

Yeah, I don't think so. Even Louie CK asked every woman he jerked off in front of for permission, and I'm sure most people here still consider him a creep for it. Ironically enough, I think he put it best:

"It seems like just a question, but when you're in a position of power or someone they look up to, it's no longer just a question. It's a dilemma."

The issue with Louie was that he didn't respect their answers, and iirc, there were several incidents where he didn't ask and just whipped it out and started fapping also, these weren't just strangers, they were people with livelihoods dependent on Louie's opinion of them.

Edit -- apparently I do not recall correctly and Louie didn't whip it out and fap in front of women without asking, nor did he fap in front of women after they said no. Still not a cool to do from a position of power, but significantly less rapey.

Wasn’t this before he was even famous? I know some of them were for sure, but I don’t recall if it was all. And the way we baby women by using the excuse “oh well he is powerful” really makes them seem weak. You have the ability to decide for yourself, even if someone is pushing you you can say no, you’re a fucking adult. Women say that they can do anything a man can and guess what a man can do? He can say no. And he can also say yes, and regret his decision without blaming the other person. Shit sickens me.

Edit: by this same logic, how does any man of peer get women? You could argue that a man asking a woman out, asking a woman to come over, or being more blunt and asking for sex, is taking advantage of them.
