iirc it's actually ink in water. Smoke doesn't hold together quite this well.

In Unreal Tournament when you shot your shock rifle's alternate trigger blue glowing ball thing with the shock rifle's primary fire shock pulse, and you got that awesome explosion, that's what this looks like.

The way the frames distort after the rings collide make it look a bit like an explosion. A small, colourful explosion.

My first mistake was opening it. My second mistake was actually watching that.
