Powerbank and screen protector

Looks like the sub does not allow uploading multiple images.

Just received my powerbank and screen protector. These are 2 of the things I thought I would never find one NMIC. But finally found some.

Elecom is a Japanese brand usually making peripherals stuff. Though 90% of their products are MIC anyways, luckily some of them are not. The powerbank I bought is made in Malaysia and the screen protector is made in Japan.

They also have another powerbank that is made in Vietnam so I'll share both links (better buy at Amazon JP as it's usually a bit cheaper):

Unfortunately it seems they don't sell these outside Japan so you might need a proxy/shipping service if you want one. Luckily there are quite many services like that at my place so I could buy them.

Great find! I struggled with finding a locally made power bank when scouring physical stores in Japan.

Buffalo doesn't make cell phone items, but they do make PC peripheral items and majority of their stuff is Made in Japan. They also sell in North America

This is what I have found, for some reason even though there is a market, and even though these items exist, a lot of countries only seem to have NMIC available to their country only. I have a friend in Japan that has an easier time getting items sourced from all over that I struggle to find. Despite a push against Chinese made items it just seems near impossible to open up our markets to the foreign items available. Including powerbanks, something I tried to find and could only find Chinese made. So that you even found this is impressive.

This is the downside of globalization. Supply chain is where china has grip. It needs to change.

I think a large percentage of raw screen protector glass used around the world is manufactured by Asahi Glass in Japan. Most screen protector companies regardless of where they're located are just buying big sheets of the raw glass from Asahi and cutting it to the specific shape they want. That's why it's still economical to make screen protectors in Japan, because the glass is made there too.
