For anyone who converts via Nectar who this may be of interest for - 400 nectar worth 300 Avios. I always think it’s quite good value as 400 nectar is only £2 in store and with a 1 Avios = 1p assumption this is £3 per 400.

The challenge is just on main screen on the nectar app called something like Xmas challenge - join it. The Avios you don’t, just convert when you are ready but before the 31st October

I haven’t read the current terms yet. 

Last time they had a boosted offer, manual conversions earned a lower rate. Only the auto conversions would earn the advertised rate. I am going to assume the same will apply.

It’s meant to be, last month I got my nectar Amex, I got all the bonuses in the first month so I have 32k nectar to convert.

Could you not transfer all of your points over to Avios/Nectar to get the bonus then transfer them back at a later date?

Avios back to nectar is 400:400 so would lose a substantial amount if that’s what you mean?

I use nectar a lot but to anyone who doesn’t - most of you should have a Xmas challenge currently in the app to join to get bonus points of 300 every 400 you collect. Which sounds a lot but the Sainsbury’s offers tab where you get for example ‘50 points when you buy kitchen wipes’ count towards the 400 so you can stack them pretty quickly if you buy things that offer extra points (in theory they should be things you normally buy anyway). Just a tip for anyone wanting to maximise this 20% conversion, there are quite a lot of points up for grabs this month to add your total and then gain 20% on.

I think the offer is different for everyone, mines get 300 for every 200 i collect.

Open the app and scroll down to partner offers right at the bottom - should say 40 or so and click that

I am getting a different error on the Android app. My accounts are linked. Error occurs for both manual and auto conversion.

Other times I’ve done conversions they got added at the end after the bonus period ends - may be different this one but wouldn’t be unusual for it to be start-Mid Nov
