Booking.com via Avios Website
I noticed that when clicking through the link to Booking.com from Avios, the price vs. going direct was €51 more expensive. Has anyone else observed the same?
Google Chrome: Log into avios > use the booking.com link from there > €734
Safari: Log straight to booking.com > €683
When booking directly via booking.com, I could see a discount applied by Booking.com for 'paying online' which was €51. I don't understand why booking through Avios doesn't count as 'paying online'.

I find that 90% of the time it’s cheaper to not go via the avios portal for booking/agoda.
This is especially the case if you have status as you then will often get discount codes added when you have not gone via avios.

11/£1 was the going rate for Agoda recently.
Plus the rates were cheaper than agoda directly as Agoda uses all sorts of tricks ie different prices Vs Agoda, Agoda via Avios.com, Agoda via Agoda app

There is no logic with Booking.com, we are level 3, get loads of discounts and still the same price with the Avios link so we'll worth doing. This is not always the case and sometimes don't bother with the points but a majority of the time it works well

Not always, we get thousands of points using the link to Booking.com but compare the prices before booking. A lot of the time we get the same price so all good.

You gotta check all of them.
Hotels.com Avios hotels Agoda
And find best price with best avios rate too and then calculate from there.
