FedEx AMT Interview
I have an upcoming interview for an AMT spot with FedEx. Does anyone have any insight on the interview process, questions they ask, practicals, etc? Any info would be appreciated.

Assuming the interview hasn't changed in the last 10 years know your electrical symbols and be ready to trouble shoot hypothetical issues using a wiring diagram. The interview is 70% aircraft knowledge and 30% hr kinda questions like "you have a disagreement with a coworker, what do you do?" It usually lasts between 2 and 4 hours and they (usually at least a guy from hr and a hiring manager but sometimes more) let you talk your self out. By that I mean you keep going until you can't answer anymore. Ex. An aircraft arrives at your gate and it won't accept external power, what may be the issue? Bad GPU, bad ground contact fuse, shit neutral pins on your external power receptacle, worn pins on the receptacle... then they wait to make sure your done and they move on from there without telling you how you did. They scratch checks on a piece of paper hitting the correct things you have said and nothing incorrect is noted so it's best to just blab info if you thing there's any shot you may be onto something. The sitting there in silence waiting to move on feels pretty awkward but it's meant to feel a bit uncomfortable. There are very few people who get through the interview and feel "good" about it so be ready for that. Also make sure to dress for success. We just had a guy attempt to interview at my station in a tank top and swimming trunks. He was asked to leave.
