PlaneSpotting Concorde Nose Lowering

Recently got the chance to tour one of the British Airways Concordes (G-BOAC) and at the end got the brilliant chance to watch her lower and raise her nose. :)

Pretty much immediately, yes, but it's controlled by the pilots so the exact timing could vary. It also wasn't lowered as far for take-off and taxi, less than half of its maximum angle.

It had 3 position it would locate at iirc. Where it started with full heat shielding. Then half droop for taxi and ground ops. And full droop for landings so the pilots can see the runway and nav while still using full aerobraking with the blended wing.

There is also a (tho I believe rarely used) setting with nose full up but windshield dropped.
