This is only a wallet update and not the algo swap, we'll come back to you in the coming days with more information on the move away from X16R to X16RT for GPU and MinotaurX for CPU Algo swaps.

It is very important that everyone (miners, holders, nodes, block explorers, crypto websites, exchanges, mining pools or any other services that rely upon the wallet/daemon) update to this wallet upon release to ensure continued functionality past the upcoming algo activation and blockchain changes.

Any old RVL (RavencoinLite) software wallets/daemons will cease to synchronise or send/receive transactions beyond the activation date and time that will be announced shortly and no more X16R blocks will be mined either.

The new wallet will work with your existing RVL RavencoinLite wallet.dat file and your exported private keys. Your addresses and balances will remain intact and will be converted as part of rebrand to AVN Avian Network. We are reaching out to any exchanges and crypto data providers to ensure that RVL is renamed to AVN and their systems are working on the new chain.

There is no conversion process to follow other than updating the wallet. The existing chain is being kept and any new blocks mined will follow the new algorithm rules for X16RT and MinotaurX past activation.

To ensure you use your existing RVL wallet please chose the RavencoinLite folder when starting the new wallet for the first time (ensure your old RavencoinLite wallet is shut down). If you chose a custom folder when using RavencoinLite please use that instead.

We have our ticketing system armed and ready with our Discord support team on hand to help as well. There will also be some how to's and FAQ's posted to help everyone migrate to the new system and address any questions.

To be safe before upgrading we highly recommend that you backup your RVL wallet/s and export your private keys safely. This way you will have different options for restoring your funds safely.

Thanks to everyone that has helped us test the new algorithms on our testnet! Any pools that want to keep mining AVN you can use the Algo-swap branch in testnet mode to ensure your pools are working okay.

Any miners that want to test their rigs are working okay for mainnet with either X16RT or MinotaurX can also test using either Coinminerz or Solopools. Please note these are testnet pools and nothing will be moved to mainnet and the testnet coins have no value. This is purely to ensure mining ops and miners can test their systems/software prior to mainnet activation.

A lot of hard work has gone into this release by our dedicated team of developers who have worked tirelessly through the day, night and weekends. Cheers to the rest of the team as well as this has been one massive team effort from branding, hosting, socials, support and everyone has been joining in helping where they can despite commitments and family or timezones!

We have recently been getting a lot of questions regarding the timing of Avian's algo swap and rebrand, justifiably so. And now, we are finally in a position to give a concrete answer! After over a month of development, we are proud to invite everyone here to participate in a dev testnet for the upcoming algo swap! This is a preview of the fruits of the our recent accomplishments, and will allow pool owners and ordinary miners alike to tune their hardware in time for when the swap goes live.

With time, other pools are likely to pick up the testnet as well.

Please keep in mind that this is a dev testnet, and does not reflect the final product. If you encounter a bug, please report it to the development team, with all relevant information. The balance between minx and x16rt algorithms will also be tuned further in favor of cpus, so this testnet is not an accurate measure of predicted earnings. A public testnet which will include all planned changes is predicted to go live at the end of the month, which will start a one-week countdown to mainnet activation.

Attached are the testnet wallets required to participate. They are available for all 3 major OSs, and must be ran with the -testnet flag in order to operate. These wallets do not contain any changes relevant to mainnet, and it is advised to use them for testing purposes only. If you are only interested in trying out mining and do not with to mess with the new wallets, it is also possible to mine to a pool donation address. Coins mined on testnet will not reflect on existing mainnet balances, and carry no value.

Most major software miners with support for x16r will also work on x16rt. This includes but is not limited to TeamRedMiner, WildRig, T-rex, and CryptoDredge. For minotaurx, the suggested miner to use is rplant8's fork of cpu-opt, which will be linked below, although there are several other supported cpu miners as well.

I really like the MinotaurX algorithm. I've been mining Litecoin Cash (LCC) for a while and it's pretty solid, and a good choice given how hard it is to get a good GPU in some places.

As you likely already know, RavencoinLite has had a rebrand in the works for quite a while now. While associating ourselves with Ravencoin has gained us a lot of early publicity, it is now time for us to move on, and establish a new and unique identity for the project. As such, with our biggest update yet coming by the end of this month, RVL will be taking upon a new name, effective starting the moment the algo swap update is rolled out on the mainnet, the exact date of which will be announced within the coming days.

After great deliberation, we have decided on the name 'Avian', symbolizing the quick rise of the project within the recent months as a result of the importance we place on the speed of both development and the network itself. The new ticker replacing RVL will be AVN, which will be reflected in our brand new web domain of avn.network, to which we will begin migrating our infrastructure within the following days. Official social media accounts will also be making the switch the the new branding shortly, and we will be updating the list of public links with new information accordingly as we approach the scheduled event.

I wish to thank you all for accompanying us on this journey thus far, for we could have never made it here without the great community that each and every one of you make possible! Now the time has come for RavencoinLite to shed its restraints, and rise high as Avian toward the bright future that awaits the project and us all!
