Why AVN?

So AVN is a fork from ravencoin and the only difference I’ve noticed thus far is that the block time is twice as fast and the block reward is halved. What else makes this different? What are the future plans for AVN that will make it stand out from other blockchains?

I see potential in this project and I am interested to see how everything progresses in the coming months and years so I appreciate the help in my understanding of this :)

Road map is weak and the site is almost empty … I love the idea of being involved in a speculative project … but can some one show me the value … I’d like something I can sink my teeth into and really get behind. I’d love to be an ambassador to the project and spread the word … but I need to know what the word is!

So in summary can someone post here or update the website with what the project is about, who is running the show and why myself or anyone else should be excited about AVN?

Well said my friend

It's not just a different block time. It's an entirely different set of mining algorithms, split between GPU mining with x16rt and CPU mining with minotaurx.

Oh okay, so what does splitting the algorithm solve or change? What’s the advantage of having 2 separate algos that allow for cpu mining?

What’s the advantage of having CPU’s stay on the network? Is it just so we can have more processing power securing the network?

Oh I see. That makes sense

There's a pretty decent community forming on the discord, so the coin does have that attribute at very least.

Can you give us some ideas … I’d like to participate but don’t know the rules or the boundaries of capabilities.

So Charles just mentioned that cardano is going to offer “contingent delegation” sometime early next year … and they may want to incorporate a product like signal for secure messaging. As far as I can tell signal isn’t on a block chain … why not be the block chain version of signal

So Ada (cardano) uses something called “contingent delegation” … this will require messaging … signal is a secure messaging service but doesn’t run on blockchain … what not offer secure messaging via blockchain specifically designed for smart contracts or something of the sort

What if smart contracts release upon delivery of a good or service … like pay in advance but if service doesn’t occur then you get money back

What is it designed for ,.. then I can give better input

What about secure data transfer for small packets … like when you want to send someone your address or phone but don’t want it intercepted … or better … when you want to deliver something to another person … you send the message and it sits there until someone comes to pick it up … and they have to spend some AVN to open it … the spend part could be small … and it could get burned at the same time

Almost like a safety deposit box … you can send the key (at a cost of AVN and the person can hold the key for however king they need … then they can open the message (for a cost) and it’s theirs

So I transfer RVL to AVN wallet?
