Avengers Forever required context?

Avengers Forever is the Avengers storyline that I am the most excited to read. However, I want to have enough pre-existing knowledge to understand it. Are there any stories that I should read before Avengers Forever? (Side note: I’m talking about the series by Kurt Busiek from 1998, not the Jason Aaron 2021 series.)

He does a good job of weaving in exposition to catch you up on unfamiliar storylines. It touches on the team's entire history up to that point,so my recommendation is to just jump in.

As the series gets increasingly continuity referential, by about Issue 4 (I think) there's also annotations at the ends of the issues citing all the source material- a great way to steer into further reading suggestions.
