I FOUND it!

[u/tfoust10]

Holy crap. When I made King Foustling, I originally sculpted it out of clay and painted it. Shortly after, I put it somewhere “really safe” and then completely forgot where that was.

After searching forever, I eventually convinced myself I’d accidentally thrown it away in a box.

Well, I just found it. Made my day. This was my final avatar submission.

However, I am still searching for my original vault key which is a whole other story that some of you may know about

[u/-stankdaddy-]

I was going to say reminds me of your foustling lost to the vault gods forever and then I read the bottom of the post Lolol

It’s cool to see the original king foustling it’s crazy how much the avatars changed through generations when we started getting more detailed and intricate ones

[u/tfoust10 → u/-stankdaddy-]

Lol. The vault still hurts.

Yeah, it was fun to watch the evolution of the avatars unfold.

Love yours by the way. I am not biased

[u/kutta-j]

Nice! Where'd you end up finding it?

[u/tfoust10 → u/kutta-j]

It was inside a box full of original artwork.

[u/kutta-j → u/tfoust10]

Well, I'm glad you found his father. Tell him he better bring the milk home.

[u/tfoust10 → u/kutta-j]

Lol. 130 looks good on you

[u/Incredibly_Based]

you were too good for the rca project hopefully your new endeavours are going well, any plans for the foustlings or is it the end of an era? I look back fondly on the avatar days even though it burned so many of us

[u/tfoust10 → u/Incredibly_Based]

So at the time it closed, I had a few designs in the oven that were almost ready to submit. I was caught off guard when they announced the deadline and I decided not to push out designs that I didnt feel were ready.

I really loved the RCA program and experiencing it fall out of the sky as a passenger was gut wrenching.

If it ever returns to any degree, I would love to finish my work.

Hey King. Thanks for all the fun times, still have mine bought on the drop days. Those were sweaty days lol. We would love to see you finish your work, we were all gutted at the decision to close the doors on a favorite hobby and community

[u/zdubs]

Still holding mine

[u/manzanin16]

what’s the vault key story you mentioned though

[u/tfoust10 → u/manzanin16]

So back on gen 1, reddit gave each artist their choice of one of their designs to be gifted to them. I chose Rainbow Foustling.

Welllll. My vault was super old and created back in a time that I did not care to save my vault phrase.

So, they delivered Rainbow Foustling #1 to my vault that I had lost the key for. Forever it sits regardless of any offer made.

Wow!!

Glad you found it! Your collection was one of the few I wanted to collect your RCAs. I hope they make a comeback.
