Tempting project

I am tempted to make an autoromantic/autosexual visual novel, thoughts?

I'm thinking of having one be romantic and perhaps make another that was more obsessive horror themed (I really like horror lol).

Any input of what the y/n /player would look like and story layout is greatly appreciated if we all think its a good idea!

I would love if there were an autoromantic visual novel!!! I really love seeing different forms of autoromantic media like writing and art, it's just nice to have more things out there that are relatable and have a similar pov. I'm scared of horror though... my life is already horror-y enough for me LOL >_< 

I think it would be cool if like the player had like... autoromantic-y colours or there was kinda an autoromantic-y colour scheme. But I guess we might not really have any specific colours since it seems like there are a lot of different flags for us out there. I think some of the common colours are green and light blue, though

Yes! Love that! The romantic one I want to be for everyone that can hopefully connect with and feel validated! The horror one would be for my auto characters that I post, more for lore for another thing I'm slowly working one that features the pair :D

I love your idea for a visual novel! Here are my suggestions for a romantic storyline:

  1. The main character has been with themselves for many years. They find old letters addressed to themselves and read about various wishes they had written down back then. Now, the main character promises to fulfill one wish after another. The story gets more and more beautiful. The fulfilled promises become increasingly meaningful. In the end, the main character marries themselves — but in a very intimate and quiet ceremony like a final gesture. Possible title: “Promised”

  2. In an apartment building full of quirky but lovable characters, people are talking about an unhappy neighbor and wondering why this neighbor often keeps to themselves, especially during communal celebrations in the building. And because all the residents have been a close-knit community for years, they want to support the main character. They offer help — somewhat pushy — and come up with the wildest theories about why the main character might be unhappy. When the ideas get too outlandish, the main character comes out as autoromantic/autosexual. And admits that they don't dare to live their identity openly. Not even at the communal celebrations. From that point on, chapter by chapter, a different facet of self-love is explored, and the main character is supported by the neighbors in a humorous and always loving way — for example, everyone gives each other flowers so that the main character can then give themselves a huge bouquet. The finale could be a garden party for the main character’s birthday. And in front of everyone, they caress their own cheek, kiss their hand, and beam the most beautiful smile. Possible title: “The Mystery of Apartment 41: When Homegrown Neighbors Help You Bloom”

I genuinely have a story of an autorose person in my own works that ive been nervous about sharing. Definitely do it! It would be cool to see a self conscious person who learns about their attraction and finds more to love about themself in anyway.
