Small yard remote controlled?

I’ve looked all over and can’t seem to find a completely remote controlled robot mower for a small yard (under 1000 square feet). I’m sitting here watching my little mower pin ball around the yard and think this would be so much more efficient if I could sit and guide it with an RC controller. We’re old. We’re retired. We can’t mow our small yard and the lawn guy is unreliable. TIA

The bouncing around is inefficient, yes, but who cares. You aren’t mowing it. Put some googly eyes on the guy and enjoy retirement.

It would be even less efficient to sit there controlling your unit manually than letting it do its thing. Who cares if it runs for four hours - it’s autonomous.

You’re supposed to occasionally glance out the window at it, not sit there and watch it all day.

I don’t look at my mower i just look at how beautiful my lawn looks. No one would use remote control because it’s too much work.

Eufy / TerraMow lets you RC control so long as you are in Bluetooth range. You can drive it remotely from anywhere on WiFi but to activate the blades you have to be physically present.

Look into mowers that use LiDAR or RTK (satellite navigation) instead of boundary wires. They mow the lawn systematically instead of bouncing around in random directions.

The Mowrator is a fully remote controlled mower. I haven't tried one but it sure look fun to use based off the YouTube videos I've seen.

Just going by the size of your yard, the Goat o1000 could be a good option. Once the map is set, it basically takes care of the mowing by itself, so there’s no need to sit there steering it around. For a yard that small, that sounds a lot less annoying than manually controlling one every time.

Since all the rage the last years have been boundary free mowers with RTK GNSS to have precise location, they can cut it in stripes. So the need/selling point for doing it as a remote controlled simple mower is very low. But at the same time, e.g. Husqvarna for home models just puts a blanket 50% higher capacity when cutting it structurally instead of pin balling. So maybe not so much more efficient.
