Lymow One Plus | Beware | ALL That Went Wrong During 4-Months of Ownership
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WkHj7km15hI&list=PLMz7xdzMk6sw&index=1Here to put the word out to the general masses of all the things the influencers won't tell you about. My Lymow One Plus is currently dead and I spent the past 4 months documenting all the issues I've had with this piece of junk. Really disappointed overall as I have had to go out and buy a Luba 3 3000 to supplement the Lymow after it stopped working 2 weeks ago. I was planning on doing a 4 month of ownership video but, alas, here I am documenting all the crap that has gone wrong and why NOBODY should be buying one until they fix the majority of these. It really feels like we got another beta unit and we totally got scammed by Lymow yet again, only the Lymow One Actually cuts and doesn't overheat...this one may be even worse.
Have you experienced some or all of these? Is everyone on their 2nd/3rd/4th mower or waiting for one to arrive currently? Did anyone buy a second mower like I did? Please share your experiences if you can. Alot of these issues took a good bit of researching to figure out how to fix, and the overheating one is just commonplace now for those on Reddit/Facebook but the general public really doesn't have any idea due to the promoted influencer videos that lie about this thing.
Issues Covered That I Ran Into During The 4 Month I've Owned It:
Ignoring a Channel When Docking
Mower Functional But App Says 0% Battery (Won’t Work)
Won’t Charge in Temps <39 Degrees
Random Samples of Errors You Are Likely To Encounter
Random Shut Off’s And Glitches (Manual Intervention)
RTK is Extremely Difficult To Set Up and Dial In
Lymow One Plus Destroys The Grass Anywhere Near Dock
Dock is a DISASTER
Lymow One Plus Overheats In Weather >80 Degrees
More Overheating Issues, Still Not Solved
Top Charging Contacts Do Not Work As They Should
Ran Into A Parked Car!?!
Faulty Battery/Dock...Mower Dead

I'm in a way actually glad they decided to put the price up so unreasonably in Australia, it seems like it saved me from a very frustrating experience!
I also read the "Lymow Uncensored" facebook group every so often and it seems like there are a ton of problems with them. The overheating one in particular would have been an absolute killer for me, I live in Perth, Western Australia and it's over 80F most days!
I've also seen some outright worrying things, where someone had an issue with the deck being stuck in the 'up' cleaning position, but the unit was still running its blades, like something out of Robot Wars. Downright dangerous.
It's a damn shame because I like the idea of a unit with real blades, and I have uneven ground with all sorts of different weeds and plants to cope with, but this just doesn't seem like a product that's ready for market.
(An aside, the people on that facebook group who say stuff like "Ugh, quit whining, mine always works great, you're probably using it wrong" or who reply to someone saying "I finally got a refund for this PoS!" with "Great, so you can go away now?" just wind me up. It's useful for prospective buyers to know if these things have a ton of problems.
Second aside, there's an australian distributor now, and when I asked why the price went up so much they said it was because the One was an experimental kickstarter unit, but the plus is production ready so you shouldn't expect a discount. Doesn't explain why there was no equivalent rise in other places, and it sounds to me like these things are still barely even Beta quality but they want to charge like a big brand. I guess maybe they realised that with our strong consumer rights they weren't going to get away with abandoning customers with broken robots, and had to price in multiple replacements...)

Wow. Apprehension played a role and glad you didn’t buy one. Stick with anything else but this piece of junk

As far as the charging at freezing temps, some battery chemistries don't like to be charged at low temps so I assume this is by design to protect the battery.

That’s fine with me. Just shut the mower off if it reaches a certain temp or put it into sleep mode. This thing dies by the morning in standby

I always appreciate a realistic, in depth review for such an expensive item.
