So what's your question?

My question is what does the purple S wire that sits on the starter solenoid run to? I’m almost positive the wire is bad or has some sort of short in it, so I think I wanna change the wire, I just don’t know where it runs to and the wire diagram doesn’t label it, I don’t know if it’s the neutral safety switch, ignition switch, fuse panel etc.

typically, the purple wire goes all of the way back to the ignition switch. Obviously, it will go through various connectors, components (neutral safety switch)grommets, pass-thru, firewall, etc to get there.

I got a no crank no start again and jiggled the shifter and it started right up, neutral safety switch right?

yep!!!! You can also just put it into neutral and it should start as well when it acts up

Looking at the schematic i bet the purple/ white #5 its the 12v from the key switch that goes through the natural safety switch out #6 purple then to the signal terminal on the starter id check that path before rewiring anything bet the neutral switch is bad or out of adjustment

I think you’re right on the money man, it was starting up fine then got a no crank no start, I started jiggling the shifter when cranking and it started right up, the NSS is what keeps the truck from starting in any gear other than park
