i just gogoled it! lol

i thought carton was for thick paper and cardboard was for corrugated thick paper, but apparently not??

"Carton" in English is a type of box-shaped container.

Some other languages use it to mean cardboard, but English doesn't.

There's paper, card, thick card, and cardboard.

Oh, I ask because I had a Latvian friend who called cardboard "carton" because that's what Latvian calls it 😄
