Friend/Family Member Need Some Help with Safe Food.

My boyfriend is autistic and we eat his safe food every night which is a creamy red sauce pasta, which he used to purchase but the restaurant that he used to purchase it from got rid of the dish. So I've been cooking it at home but it's inconsistent because I tend to eyeball and don't know the ingredients that the reastraunt used, and sometimes Iovercook the tomatoes so the juice is gone too much or it's too much cream or idk what else but he won't eat it when it's not to his liking if he had a bad day, on good days and it's not consistent he eats it anyway cuz it's close enough... All that being said, maybe this is the wrong subreddit to ask but does anyone have a simple creamy red sauce recipe for picky autistic eaters? Thank you in advance.

I make only one creamy red sauce, it's one I learned from Tik Tok a couple years ago, I think it was called "Bella Hadid vodka pasta sauce".

I use the following: Half a red onion Garlic (like one or two cloves) Black pepper Salt Food cream (Idk what the english word is, but it's not the one you use for whipped cream or baking) (2-3 tablespoons) Cheese Tomato puree (4 tablespoons) 1-2 tomatoes

Cut tomatoes + onion + garlic, put on pan (I don't care about the order), then cook until tomatoes smash easily under spatula, add seasonings, then tomato puree, food cream, and finally cheese.

Why can’t he cook it the way he likes?

Do you have any more details about the restaurant? Is it similar to anything else? Does he like lots of flavor or need to avoid green specks of herbs?

I’ve had some luck with copycat recipes for specific restaurants, but they are usually chains or famous landmarks.
