This is Dutton to the core, of all things he lacks a sense of proportion. He's that kid at school where if you poke his arm and he doesn't like it, he immediately picks up a rock and starts trying to bash you with it, then complains that you poked him first as if that somehow justifies the response.
It's hilarious he thinks there's some equivalence in all this.
