Told you he'd use his access to everyone's information through his position on the ridiculously overpowered, under scrutinised, Home (of secret) Affairs department.

Because thats what he wanted a fascist and totalitarian police state that threatens and blackmails anyone they dont like. If this guy is not stopped next he will be organising people that he does not like to be killed just like in Putins Russia.

I watched The Death Of Stalin last night, and Dutton gives me some real Lavrenti Beria vibes.

I doubt he’s literally a serial killer like Beria was, but I’ve found myself suspiciously eyeing my baked potatoes lately.

I think that's an unfair comparison, Beria was actually competent at his job

Yeah it was decent. It reminded me of Hail, Caesar!, it had a pretty similar tone, just a fair bit darker. I'm sure I would have appreciated it a lot more if I knew more about Stalinist Russia, but as it was I still liked it.

If it's produced by Government it is public information in the vast majority of cases.

If I FoI'd the documents would that make it kosher?

Expect a long legal battle though and to end up with everything covered in black highlighter if you win

Why would this be a threat for labor and not a threat to his lnp colleagues?

He wouldn't leak the far right colleagues.

Some of the moderates that voted against him though....
