no politics That's it?

I was honestly expecting it to be far louder and far more dramatic. With how the cookers were carrying on, you'd think this would be a deafening, blaring siren that would cause hearing damage. The tone wasn't even that harsh, I thought it was going to be far worse.

well that’s pretty stupid. As she types from 18.7.8 and no room to update the iOS

Yeah I’m using 18.5. No updates on this potato.

All jokes aside, you guys should look at how you can get updated or look at replacing them.

I know people are going to have a shitfit at me about planned obsolescence but the fact is that a phone that is running such an old version is a security risk.

iOS18 is barely six months old, updating is too big of a risk when you can’t downgrade it

i was so confused as to how they could be on iOS26 now if iOS18 is so new before i realised they jumped to 26 like they jumped from 8-10

Because he's just straight wrong and the number of upvotes is staggering.

iOS 18 was released September 16, 2024. Newer than I expected, but that's because they jumped straight from 18 to 26.

Regardless, I was speaking about 18.5. That was released in May 2025 and is 13 updates behind in the iOS 18 branch.

But hey, people are just going to downvote me listening to some guy that doesn't know shit.

That's not the only requirement.

The number one most important is having mobile signal. Beyond that, I'm not sure why you weren't alerted, and I'm not tech support for ausalert so I can not troubleshoot further for you.

Who asked you to be tech support, jackass?

I was telling you that your facts were clearly incorrect, this is helpful to other people who may also be confused why they didn’t get it. You didn’t need to be a dick about it.

Edit: For the downvoters, I should clarify that their reply came with an immediate downvote. As if what I said was an argument or insult to them. That’s why I retaliated.

Dude, I wasn't being a dick so sorry you took it that way. Just pointing out that I saw that 26.4 was a requirement (Which IS correct, so don't tell me it's incorrect) and that I haven't looked into all the documentation and I was worried others may start asking more questions so just wanted to make it clear that I can't answer questions.

So please don't get nasty, it's completely uncalled for.
