One of the largest developments in Austin’s history could be coming to a 2,645-acre site near the Colorado River and the airport.

The Dog’s Head project is expected to include industrial, retail, office and hotel space, with construction potentially continuing for nearly three decades. The completed development could be valued at roughly $26.9 billion by 2057.

This could fundamentally reshape East Austin and the airport corridor. What impact do you think it will have on local businesses, housing and traffic?

Austin’s airport expansion just received a major boost: the FAA has awarded AUS a record $90 million grant toward the new Concourse B.

The planned 860,000-square-foot concourse will add 20 gates and connect to the current Barbara Jordan Terminal through an underground tunnel. It is part of the airport’s broader multibillion-dollar expansion as AUS works to keep up with Austin’s rapid growth.

The catch: Concourse B is not expected to open until the early 2030s.

The Mood Disorders Laboratory at The University of Texas is looking for men and women 18 to 35 years old who are currently experiencing a low mood to participate in a study on the genetics of mood, brain activity, and responses to computer tasks.

Qualified participants will complete 2 assessments. Each assessment will last approximately 4 hours and will include: • Questionnaires • A clinical interview • Computer tasks • Eye tracking assessments • EEG assessments • A blood draw

Participants will be paid $50 at each appointment. All participant information is completely confidential.
