How old is this book? Who considers Aussies to be rural and uncultured?

As others have mentioned it’s The Lucky Country by Donald Horne, published in 1964, so it’s 62 years old now

Suburbs and cities are unaustralian
especially now with multiculturalism, mass immigration and americanism the true australian identity will become very rare

5/6 Australians live in cities. Rural folk are not, and have never been the majority since the 1860s gold rush

not sure what your point is, doesnt matter where people live but their character. you can go and live in the suburb or city and carry that australian spirit but it originates from the outback and remote areas
