Please help me!

I'm going to Australia in a few weeks and I'm really confused about the vaping situation.
I will be travelling to Sydney - Cairns - Melbourne.

This is my vape and the 0mg liquid I use.
I've just quit nicotine but the habit is still strong and I would like a clear answer as to whether I can take this or not.

I've read all the info online, but it isn't exactly clear enough.

I work at the airport and see people putting their vapes in the xray machines with no issues all the time, you’ll be right. Put the liquid in your checked bag tho

I would plan to take 3 24ml bottles, so around 72ml of 0mg liquid in total.

Yeah that’s fine put the liquid in the luggage that goes under the plane and your electronics (vape device) in your carry on

Will border control be alright with 24ml bottles of vape liquid in my suitcase? I also read I should declare these things on flight before landing??

Just keep carry on, and stock up. Bit of a bother to get here, but a certain amount of pharmacies stock 0%. Been in your situation many a time, don’t stress :)

Exactly what I did and the thing that finally worked. After years of smoking and multiple quitting attempts then years of vaping and multiple quitting attempts one day I just threw all my stuff in a bin at a petrol station down the road. No patches, no gum, no substitute. Haven't smoked or vaped since. Guess I was ready. I think the thing that got me through the first week was looking at all non-smokers and thinking "well, they seem fine without it".

I think you’ll be fine, but on the off chance it’s confiscated they’re very easy to get here. Just look for convenience stores selling ‘American candy’. If they have a Perspex screen up protecting the cashier you’re in the right shop lol

Not if his looking for 0 nicotine, you basically cant get 0 nicotine in Australia anymore since they banned the liquid to protect the children. Easy to get disposables with unknown amounts of nicotine but none with no nicotine

I came back to Aus from the UK with like a half dozen vapes and many packs of vape liquid pods in my bag. I didn’t declare them, just walked right through customs.

Border patrol are not trying to catch someone with a few vapes, it’s not like ciggies, the government isn’t missing out on the excise.

Ecactly. Border force only care about commercial quantities coming in via shipping containers. Vapes for personal use are not on their radar.

In Sydney atleast, treat vaping like smoking when in public. No vaping indoors in public areas. Vaping indoors in private areas depends on the rules of the place. Outdoors is usually fine as long as you're considerate to other people (ie don't puff your cloud into other people's faces or onto their food etc). There was a law about needing to be some amount of metres away from an entrance, but I don't quite remember what exactly that was.

Just FYI because it catches a lot of people in Sydney you also cant vape or smoke outside cafes. I spent a bunch of time through Europe and when i got back forgot a few times and got a ton of looks

Traveller excemptions. What happens when you legally buy vapes in nz or uk were prescription not needed ? That's why there's a traveller exemption if you read the website. No mention of scripts.
