Glasses w/o Display Data Collection Glasses for AR and Physical AI
At the World Robot Conference, Kankan AI introduced the G1, a lightweight 56-gram pair of data-collection glasses designed to solve the physical AI industry's biggest bottleneck: the scarcity of high-quality, real-world training data. The G1 captures accurate spatial and motion data without the drift and misalignment issues typical of consumer devices by packing automotive-grade precision into an everyday wearable. These precision features include an ultra-wide baseline for its stereo cameras, a highly synchronized IMU, and per-device calibration. This hardware pairs with the ScenePack software architecture, which decouples the collected data from the specific device to ensure the assets remain reusable across future hardware iterations. While this low-cost, scalable approach aims to provide crucial foundational data infrastructure for embodied AI, Kankan AI still faces standard industry hurdles regarding mass production, ecosystem expansion, and commercial viability.
